Level 3

Give AI the source material

When the answer depends on a document, spreadsheet, log, specification or dataset, supply the actual material rather than relying on a summary from memory.

Better inputs

Upload the relevant file, paste the authoritative excerpt, or connect a read-only source. Tell the AI which files matter and which are merely background.

Better questions

Ask for evidence locations, inconsistencies, missing information and transformations grounded in the supplied material.

Example: analyze a document

Use only the attached document as the factual source for this task.

Goal: understand the decisions I need to make.
Task: extract the decisions, deadlines, dependencies and unresolved questions.
Output: a four-column table: item | evidence/location | owner if stated | action needed.
Constraints: do not invent owners or deadlines that are not present.
Verification: quote only short identifying phrases and give the page/section for each important finding.

Example: compare data

Inspect the supplied table before drawing conclusions.
1. Describe the columns and obvious data-quality issues.
2. State which rows or values you excluded and why.
3. Calculate the requested comparison.
4. Separate the numerical result from your interpretation.
5. Flag any conclusion that the data does not support.
Private data deserves deliberate handling. Know where the service stores uploads, what your account settings permit, and whether the material is appropriate to send to a hosted service at all.
